Anti-Discrimination Policy

Last Updated: June 2026

YC Real Estate is committed to conducting business free of discrimination. This policy reflects our obligations under the New York City Human Rights Law, the New York State Human Rights Law, and all applicable federal law, and applies to everyone acting on our behalf.

Protected classes

We do not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, creed or religion, national origin, citizenship or immigration status, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital or partnership status, familial status, pregnancy, military or veteran status, lawful occupation, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Source of income

Under the New York City Human Rights Law, it is unlawful to refuse to rent, sell, or negotiate based on a person’s lawful source of income — including Section 8 vouchers, CityFHEPS, Social Security, disability payments, and other housing assistance. YC Real Estate fully honors source-of-income protections and does not discriminate against any applicant on this basis.

Prohibited practices

  • Steering clients toward or away from neighborhoods or buildings based on a protected characteristic.
  • Misrepresenting the availability of a property.
  • Applying different terms, conditions, or services to different clients on a discriminatory basis.
  • Making any statement that indicates a discriminatory preference or limitation.
